Get those engines started! The 56th running of the Daytona 500 is February 23, 2014. Nicknamed "The Great American Race," the Daytona 500 is the biggest, most expensive, and most prestigious race in America. With a long history of heart-wrenching defeats, come from behind victories, famous duels, photo finishes and top-of-the-line entertainment, the race is one of the most anticipated in American sports. NASCAR novices and enthusiasts alike will delight in the week-long Daytona Speedweek leading up to the historical race. Events include the Lucas Oil 200, Spring Unlimited and the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Another event that can't be missed is the Sprint Fanzone where fans can view pre-race entertainment and have their picture taken on the famed start and finish line.
