Nicknamed "The Great American Race," the Daytona 500 is the biggest, most expensive, and most prestigious race in America. Halifax Oyster Festival

Share10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Manatee Island in the Intracoastal Waterway along downtown Daytona Beach. Coordinated by the Halifax Oyster Reef Restoration Society, the Halifax Oyster Festival is devoted to supporting oyster reef restoration. There will be plenty of great food and fun, including a wide variety of oyster dishes prepared by local restaurants, raw and shucked oysters, live music, liquid refreshments, and hands-on oyster mat construction.
