Kids Can Fish, Too
The Halifax Sport Fishing Club (HSFC) will run on Saturday, July 26 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at City Island on the Halifax River in downtown Daytona Beach. The club will set up their learning stations that highlight what you need to know about knots, tackle, being a good angler, habitat, and casting. At the "finish line," kids will receive a goodie bag with FWC regulations and fish identification. HSFC's program promotes ethical angling and awareness of the marine environment to children ages six through 12 in the east Central Florida area. HSFC has distributed over 1,000 free rods and reels in conjunction with Fish Florida.
