Dominic and the other valets were absolutely fantastic. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the restaurant and the views were gorgeous. Will definitely stay here again

What a DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE! ...

What a DELIGHTFUL EXPERIENCE! First Rate all the way! From check-in where I was not only greeted, but I was given a voucher for a free "Smores Kit" to use nighttime at the oceanside fire pit! All of the staff went out of their way to make me feel welcome. All amenities are available in the resort & the views from rooms are inspiring. I plan to return and bring my whole family this summer!

Highlights: tons of staff ...

Highlights: tons of staff (job creation), eco-friendly everything from the reusable shampoo/conditioner bottles to the paper straws, view, space, ambiance, food, heated pool, cleanliness everywhere (rooms/amenities), decór, adult beverages, mini-mart, concierge morning text of activities, complementary s’mores (weird ratios of ingredients 😅), price of the room, 2 complementary drinks, fire pits, pet friendly, cold towels in the fitness center, they care about the little touches. Parking was right across the street. Lowlights: SECURITY (there was staff walking around in black frequently, but there is a door through the parking lot that does not require swipe-in access and is not locked. My food was delivered by a third party directly to my room; nobody stopped a non-hotel guest from walking right through the lobby), no lotion in the rooms, there was a stain on the floor, no current beach access as advertised (due to natural disaster & funds were allocated to repairing first floor rooms first, instead of one staircase that the whole hotel could use), there were 2 stains on the floor of our room, hotel check-in staff were a bit snooty, hidden fees everywhere (I put an extra $490 on my card for a 2-night stay when I checked in - $70/night pet fee, $100/night incidentals (refundable), and $20/night parking (cheapest of the parking options)), one tacky & massive one-legged lamp statue for Christmas from that movie 🤣 killed the nice decór in the lobby but was temporary. Overall, it was paradise with a few big overlooks that can be fixed. Maybe the first floor rooms were a safety risk for other guests (asbestos, mold or whatever) and that is why they were prioritized over the staircase. As of now, you have to walk 2 miles to the pier to get down to the beach. I’m not sure if this was the reason the hotel was around $150/night, but I know that even if the staircase was fixed - $150/night is probably all I’d pay for a room here (high priced, but not too expensive). If it stays at $150/night, I’d probably like to stay here a few times per year seeing as I live only a couple hours away. If it goes up to around $200/night, I probably would find another place to stay. I really appreciate the eco-centric vibe of a beachfront property. If you’re going to profit off of nature, at least give back to it. There are extremely important turtle signs on the balcony doors about light emissions, refillable bottles for shower needs, very little plastic packaging, a convenient store with delicious tinned water, and paper straws at the restaurant.
